Pretty in Pink: Four Ways to Show Your Support Through Your Wardrobe

It’s been 26 years since the dramatic teen romantic comedy film Pretty in Pink hit the big screens, but it has never died in our hearts. Admit it, we all wish we had two guys vying for our attentions as Andie Walsh (Marry Ringwald) had.

From the loveable best friend turned to not-so-secret admirer Duckie (Jon Cryer) to the rich kid and brat pack heartthrob Blane McDonough. Blane is played by Andrew McCarthy who just recently made himself vulnerable to the mystery and fuel for life-love-which he explores in his debut book, The Longest Way Home.

In an interview this week he revealed some unknown facts about the film. The last scene originally depicted Andie choosing Duckie over Blane. I can hear your gasp. This didn’t sit well with the audience, so McCarthy who had shaved his head in a farewell to his character donned a wig for the last shot and won the heart of Andie because who are we kidding, she was just so pretty in pink.
